UI Student Media includes the award-winning student newspaper, The Argonaut; free-form radio station KUOI-FM; award-winning student magazine, Blot; and the Argonaut Online.

In a recent survey, 70 percent of UI students indicated that they read The Argonaut at least once a week. Among students, this survey shows, The Argonaut is the news outlet of choice. The paper is published twice weekly with a circulation of 6,000, distributed throughout campus and Moscow.

KUOI-FM has been on the air since 1945, and has long provided an alternative media outlet for the university. Today the radio station encompasses every genre of music and has the largest music library of any college radio station in the Northwest.

Blot magazine joined the ranks of Student Media in 2003. Since the first issue in the fall of 2004, Blot has won numerous awards, including best magazine in Idaho from the Idaho Press Club and a Mark of Excellence award from the Society of Professional Journalists.

The Argonaut Online at www.uiargonaut.com receives more than 400,000 hits every month and 15,000 unique visitors. The site is updated frequently with breaking news and Web-exclusive content, and includes interactive features such as polls and comments.
