The Argonaut opinion section is reserved as a forum of open thought, debate and expression of free speech regarding topics relevant to the University of Idaho community.

Editorials represent the views of The Argonaut editorial board. Editorials are signed by the initials of the author. Editorials may not necessarily reflect the views of the University of Idaho or its personnel or students. Members of The Argonaut Editorial Board for the 2008-2009 school year are Christina Lords, editor in chief; Alexis Roizen, managing editor; and Holly Bowen, opinion editor.

Columns, cartoons and letters to the editor are the opinions of their respective authors and do not necessary represent the views of The Argonaut, its editorial board, the University of Idaho, its personnel or students. Calendar Policy

Entries for events calendars must be submitted in writing or e-mailed by the Sunday or Wednesday before publication. Items must include a date, deadline or other kind of time element. Please include contact information in case more details are needed.

All advertising is subject to acceptance by The Argonaut, which reserves the right to reject ad copy. The Argonaut does not assume financial responsibility for typographical errors in advertising unless an error materially affects the ad's meaning as determined by the Student Media Board. The Argonaut's liability shall not exceed the cost of the advertisement in which the error occurred, and a refund or credit will be given for the first incorrect insertion only. Errors must be reported to the student Advertising Manager within seven (7) working days. The Argonaut assumes no responsibility for damages caused by responding to fraudulent advertisements.
