UI student and football player Marvin C. Jones Jr. was arrested Thursday for three counts of delivery of a controlled substance which was identified as cocaine. Jones, a sophomore majoring in management, marketing and operations and a defensive tackle for the Vandals from Vallejo, Calif., was taken into custody at the police deAartment without incident and transported to the Latah County jail for booking Thursday afternoon. Jones was released after posting a $10,000 bond Friday morning. According to a release from the Moscow Police Department, after the arrest, Jones’ apartment was searched and $1,605 was seized, which included money provided to Jones from a previous drug buy transaction. The arrest was the result of a two week investigation that began after information was gathered that identified Jones as purchasing and selling cocaine in the Moscow area. If convicted, Jones will face felony charges punishable by imprisonment for a term not to exceed life, or a fine not more than $25,000, or both. Add as favorites (52) | Views: 1103
