You may think abuse rarely takes place in an area as calm
and peaceful as the Palouse.
But last year "Alternative to Violence of the Palouse"
served 15,000 people in the Latah and Whitman counties.
These two counties have a combined population of around 70,000
people according to the U.S. Census Bureau, and it indicates
that at least 21 percent of the population has been involved
