Please do not turn pets loose
      at schools end

      

      
To the Editor:

      


      You who are getting ready to leave the area in the coming weeks,
      please don't forget your pets! Please either take them with you
      or find a good home for them before you leave. If you cannot
      take them with you and cannot find a home for them, please contact
      either the Whitman County Humane Society in Pullman (phone: 332-3422)
      if you live in the Pullman area, or the Humane Society of the
      Palouse in Moscow (phone: 883-1166) if you live in the Moscow
      area.

      


      We will try our best to find a good home for your pet. But, if
      you choose to go this way, please be advised that no humane society
      has room for unlimited numbers of animals.

      


      Please DO NOT just turn your pets loose. They cannot survive
      on their own.

      


      Also, please think hard before you take a pet into your home.
      Any pet requires a lot of care, can cost a lot of money over
      its lifetime and needs a lot of your attention. So if you cannot
      provide all of these requirements, wait to get a pet until you
      can fully provide for it.
